I Suffered Three Heartbreaks At Age 40 – Nana Ama McBrown

Any Ghanaian lady who has not experienced any heartbreak in a relationship  probably has not dated or yet to meet that sweet-mouthed guy. Baby-faced actress, Felicity Ama Agyemang, known in showbiz as Nana Ama McBrown, has given a detailed account of how she suffered three painful relationship heartbreaks within her present age of 40. The award-winning actress shockingly revealed this at this years’ edition of ‘Tek Talk’ to students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). “I have suffered three broken hearts at age 40. In one of the instance, I could wear a nightgown from morning to evening and sometimes walk out with it to buy things on the streets unknowingly. This is what a broken heart can do to you but I persevered”, she said. File Image The media in the Gold Coast first emerged in the 19th century with the publication of The Gold Coast Gazette and Commercial Intelligencer in 1822 . The paper had several functions: to provide information for civil servants and European merchants; and to help promote literacy rates and rural development among the local population - while encouraging unity with the Gold Coast government. In the mid-19th century, a diverse number of African-owned papers appeared that were largely unrestricted by the colonial government. This led to a surge of independent press, which in part led to the independence of Ghana. Colonial Governor Sir Arnold Hudson introduced the first radio channel, named Radio ZOY, in 1935. The word anthropology has a Greek origin. The Greek word ‘ anthropos ’ means human and ‘ logos ’ means science and thus, anthropology represents science of human   ( Barnard, 2000; 1).   The major task of anthropology, the study of man – is to enable us to understand ourselves through understanding other cultures. (Ahmed, 1986; 13). Lewis, J. (1982) sees anthropology “as the general term for the science of man: the cultural, social, physical development, and behavior of man throughout his history. The general term includes the special term, physical anthropology, human evolution, archaeology (pre-history), cultural anthropology, social anthropology and linguistic anthropology.” Anthropology is the study of people, past and present, with a focus on understanding the human condition both culturally and biologically.
